Scholarship Opportunity

NIHB is excited to provide the opportunity to assist Tribal Infection Control Officers and Health Officials with completing courses to expand their knowledge of infection control and improve their ability to prevent infections in Tribal communities. We believe providing the scholarship opportunity will enhance the important work Tribal healthcare workers do for their Tribal health system . NIHB is accepting scholarship applications on a rolling basis. Please see the following for online infection control courses:

Funding Opportunity

NIHB Project Firstline: Building Capacity for Tribal Infection Control: NIHB accepting applications for sub-awardee funds of $50,000 to assist Tribes with developing and implementing an infection control peer learning community. The objectives of the Learning Community are to:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of a training and capacity building assistance program to raise the capacity of Indian health infection control professionals and health providers
    • Support the prevention and control of current and future infectious disease outbreaks.
    • Contribute to building Tribal capacity to improve Tribal infection prevention and control. NIHB hosted an information session to learn more about Project Firstline and the application for sub-awardee funding. The webinar recording can be found HERE or Apply for funding HERE.
